Skin Swiss

Skin Swiss, a Swiss niche firm specialising in the manufacture of underwear for people with allergies and those who highly value health, wellbeing and comfort, has developed BambooActiva® especially for this purpose. This is a unique knitted fabric made from bamboo fibres, characterised by its natural qualities and the positive effect it has on the health of the skin.
The textile fabric BambooActiva® is different to other natural and synthetic fibres because it preserves its natural plant qualities throughout the manufacturing process, right up until the finished Skin Swiss product comes off the production line.
 

The main qualities of the textile fabric BambooActiva®
1 - Antibacterial:

The agent “bamboo kun”, which is contained in bamboo, uses a special method of preventing superinfection resulting from dermatitis, types of eczema, psoriasis and contact allergies.

Prevention of bacterial growth stops unpleasant odours from occurring.

2 - Refreshing:

The porous structure of the fibre has an extraordinary absorption capacity (twice that of cotton) and keeps the skin dry. It feels as though you’re wearing clothing that’s as light as a feather.

This refreshing effect stems from the extremely light structure of the material and the properties of the fibres, which allow sweat to disperse fast and effectively.

3 – Odour-inhibiting:

No marks form, even with excessive perspiration.

BambooActiva® prevents the spread of bacteria and fungus, which cause unpleasant odours.

4 - Soft:

The bamboo fibre, which is treated using viscose processes, gives the fabric a particular softness and durability. It follows the body’s natural movement without irritating the skin by using elastane incorporated into the fabric and avoiding direct contact with the skin.

5 - Safe:

The textile fabric BambooActiva® contains no harmful chemical substances, such as dyes contaminated with heavy metals or allergens, finishes containing formaldehyde, agents containing organic chlorine compounds, or pesticides.

BambooActiva® has been tested by Unilabs LAS, a laboratory specialising in medical analysis and microbiology experiments for industry, obtaining a result of Class 3 for effectiveness in inhibiting the growth of bacteria. The tests were carried out in compliance with the standard JIS L1902.

6 – Easy care and comfort:

Skin Swiss underwear can be washed in the washing machine at 60°C without any risk of shrinking.

All stitching is done using 100% pure cotton.

For information about composition and care of the garment, we use an ecologically sound logo imprint instead of bulky labels.
